Confusion heard his voice, and wild uproar Stood ruled, stood vast infinitude confined; Till at his second bidding darkness fled, Light shone, and order from disorder sprung.

Alexander Smith
"We bury love; Forgetfulness grows over it like grass: That is a thing to weep for, not the dead."
~Alexander Smith
Author Profession: Poet
Nationality: Scottish
Born: December 31, 1830

Commentary:
This is a comforting quote for today's anniversary. One that I cannot forget, one that can never be allowed to grow over and be forgotten. Our hearts still burn with pain and wishing for a different outcome. Hear our love and prayers, Lorie - my sister by marriage.

A politician that seemed to speak his mind and believe in fighting for the rights of those he represented while holding on to the values of America and its foundation. This statement is similar to one that states, doing the right thing is not always the easiest one.

Cesare Pavese
"Life is pain and the enjoyment of love is an anesthetic."

This quote is amazingly true considering all that life throws at each of us. We step through each day wondering where our next foot will be placed, blind to the possibilities that lay around every corner. We cannot plan for each possible event because this would drive our minds to the brink of explosion. What we can do is move through life's pain knowing that the love we give and receive from those important to us will carry our steps closer to our destination. I will always be grateful or this quote from Cesare as it reminds us to cherish that love we have over the pain life gives.
